Welcome to the Hyster Spot!!! We are so glad to ahve you here. The numbness around the incision is experienced by nearly everyone...some of the nerve endings are severed. I am nearly a yr post-op and I am just nw getting the feeling back in my tummy around the incision. The pinching feeling is also a normal experience...I panicked and called my doctor and he was nearly amused. You amy still experience the hot flashes because it may take a bit for your ovary to recover from the "shock" and start working properly..we refer to this as your ovary being asleep. After my surgery it was a long time before I developed a normal sleep schedule again. It must just be our bodies, the hormone levels, and the ,major surgery we have endured. I hope I have helped some. I will being hosting a chat tonight on Yahoo...if you are interested in joining us IM me on Yahoo at dollbabijana. HAve a great day! Jana

Hi. I will try to chat with you Sat night but I'm not sure yet if I can. I was wondering if you could answer another ? for me. How long does it hurt for (last) when you go pee? Its driving me nuts. Not to mention, the incision is starting to itch like mad. I can't wait to be able to take a bath instead of a shower. Theres nothing like a nice warm relaxing bath. oops, sorry to rattle on. Thanks for you help. Carol

I had an uncomfortable feeling while urinating for about 6 weeks. You may want to check with your doctor about the possibility of a urinary tract infection...that is a possible cause and very common post-op. I got 1 of my own post-op. Good Luck and ask anything anytime. We will try to help. Jana
