I have had bleeding problems for years so on Feb.19th 2003, I woke up at 5:30 (had to get those kids off to school) then went to the hospital at 7:00 for my LAVH...I was so very nervous and they forgot to give me my happy meds, so when I was put on the operating table..I started crying my eyeballs out, I kinda freaked that good ole anethesiologist right out I think, they don't normally see their patients cry...well thats all I remember of that, I next woke up in my room...no memories of post op at all! I had that lovely morphine pump, who I felt was my very best friend at that moment. I dont really remember much about that day, I do remember my doc coming in and saying that they took out one of my ovaries because it was looking not so happy in there. Well the next day the morphine pump went, and so did the catheter and by 10:00pm I was so wanting to get the heck out of there, so I called my husband who came to pick me up....yay my own bed!!!! I have had some not so nice bladder problems since my surgery..but for the surgery part everything went super..and I feel so good, after my doc got that pathology back she called to tell my I had very bad adenomyosis...so no wonder i had periods from hell.
