I was a nervous wreck prior to my surgery -until I found the support of some wonderful ladies. Through research I learned that I had options - there were other treatments, other methods of hysterectomies, etc etc - I learned from others who had the surgery how important it was to ask the doctor questions - but had no idea what to ask. To find out about other options see Helpful Links.
I also learned how important it was to be prepared for the post op phase as I am a single parent - I pre-cooked meals and put them in the freezer, cleaned the house, re-organized my cupboards to put the things most frequently used at an easy to reach level, made sure all the laundry, linens etc were clean etc etc - made my healing much easier and less stressful.
Please feel free to post a question - if we have the answers we will be happy to share our personal experiences with you.
Be blessed!

I think there are many people out there that feel this way. I know I would never have made it through either...although I may have went back to work sooner lol!
