Linda - first let me say welcome to our site - we are glad to have you here. With regards to the pain - I had sharp burning pain and it was a mild infection - it might be wise to get it checked out - the doctor put my on antibiotics and the pain was gone within a couple of days. The pain could also be because you are overdoing things- are you doing any lifting? standing for too long - not walking enough? If it is a sharp gas type pain try using gas x and doing a lot of small walks - Keep us posted - hope the pain ends soon!

I tend to still get a burning sensation at times and I am nearly a year post-op. Usually it is when I lift more than I should. Never hurts to have it checked though! It will take lots of time to be able to do the things you did before....you may be really tired for a while. Let us know if we can help you with anything else! Jana

Welcome to the Hyster Spot! We are very happy to have you here. I am not sure if the insomnia is a product of the huge change our bodies have to make, the lack of hormones, or a combination of the 2. Mine slowly fixed itself and maybe yours will too. Please let us know what the doctor says!!!!! Post away..and please come join us in chat! Jana

Welcome to Hysterspot. We are thrilled that you found us.
Am so sorry about the pain. I had the pain on the left side as well, for me it turned out to be an infection from the drainage tube - 10 days on antibiotics and it was fine. Please keep us posted.
It is always wise to go to the doctors when there is something happening out of the norm - am glad to hear you are doing that.
Again, welcome and feel free to post your jokes, recipes, your surgical story etc - just jump in.

Sorry that you are having such a hard time with gas and constipation...also sorry about your lack of "Action" lol. Do you have someone that would watch the children for you while you'll have a night out to yourselves...or a night in? That is what we have to do sometimes. Good Luck and we are so glad you have joined the Hyster Spot!
