I have become friendly with a sweet lady who has a very nice shop near my home. She sells antiques and wonderful decorative items. I stopped in after my surgery and told her that I'd had hyst. Turns out she'd had one too! We shared experiences, and she promised to bring in a poem that she'd written in honor of her uterus. Following is the poem by Merry:
I bid you farewell Womb of mine~ I'm sad - though happy Through this time~
During sixth grad when you made yourself known Mom welcomed me to womanhood in an excited tone
But why all of this mess - and what of these boobs You soon bore the name "Aunt Mabel"and brought with you the moods
We endured through the years We nurtured three babies They are know Erin Noel ~ Kyle William ~ Brady Alexander My how time has flown My babies have grown
You helped me give birth Each time unique Experiences of loving wonder Though painful and deep Through waves of labor - rhythmical at best ~ Eased these beautiful babies to my arms ~ to my breast
We are finished with this now It's best that we part Godspeed dear Womb I thank you from my heart.
