;D It has been over 16 weeks since my hysterectomy and I feel healthier and younger and more energetic than I have in years. It was a real struggle for me to finally go through with the surgery - having put it off for years in hopes that I would someday marry and have another child - BUT I must admit that now I wish I had done it 10 years ago - For the first time I dont' feel tired and run down from the frequent and very heavy periods. I'm no longer anemic - and I'm saving big bucks not having to spend the $40. -$60. a month in pads and tampons. I have had mild night sweats since my surgery - nothing like others have discribed - I kept my ovaries, but the doctor has said that they will not work at full capacity as they did prior to the hysterectomy - I can live with the mild night sweats - and I have had the occassional hotflash- but they seem to becoming fewer and farther between - Thank you all so much for your support during my surgeries and for all the friendships I have gained through this experience your support and love have meant a great deal to me - (((((((((2 all)))))))) Be blessed and be a blessing!
