AMEN its been almost 6 years since I have been cancer free....although it took having my hysterectomy almost 6 yrs ago to get here its been a great relief I must say. I remember in the beginning I had so many questions and concerns and omg the support I got thru a sister site where a lot of us here at hysterspot came from. I tell ya if not for the ladies and some of the guys here I would never have made it this far so to all of my dear friends whom I look upon as family thank you so very much. December 11th will be my 6 year mark and I owe it all to you all.
I know being told you have cancer of any kind is like getting hit in the head with a two by four but for us women being told you have cancer in those most precious parts of all is really a blow.... especially if we are to have more children and sadly there are some of us who have never been able to know the joy of child birth and to those of you have not I'm so sorry you must miss out on that. However there is a good side to all this.... NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT BIRTH CONTROL!!!! LOL my husband and I are so giddy about that part although it has taken a few years to get use to it is a blessing. there are a lot of blessings about my having a hysterectomy although I had 3 great kids prior to it, I don't have to worry about the BC again nor do I have to worry about periods ever again.... LOL I think thats the part DH loves the most. HEHE anyways I have been healthier since the hyst and I have a more powerful sex drive now. which is funny since hubbs is loosing his. LOL there are a lot of other reasons I can give that seem like the worst possible things in the world to hear when facing a hysterectomy but in truth are blessings. I know one of my biggest ones is IM ALIVE!!! I'm around to tell others of what I have gone thru and what to expect from my experience of course this by no means is telling you this is what is going to happen to you but a means of this could happen and if it does ya know what to look for. never will I tell you anything that will harm you or go against what your DR is telling you to do but some things that helped us girls thru the last 6 years and more that has been passed down. number 1 is always keep a journal number 2 always keep a friend close by either thru chat or phone calls or what have ya it helps to have someone to talk to hence why we are here at the hyster spot. I myself am here to answer any of your questions you have. I am online about 3 times a week now and may even be able to do a live chat once in a while. feel free to leave a post. or a private message I WILL GET BACK TO YOU I promise. Anyways I'm writing from my heart and this may not make since but its what I feel. again Thank you to all my friends on here and thanks for the loving care and memories
