This is just a bit of info about adenomyosis!
Adenomyosis has 3 main symptoms: heavy bleeding, uterine enlargement, and pelvic pain. Contrary to wide belief, adenomyosis can be diagnosed without a hyterectomy. It can be diagnosed through D&C, hysterosalpingogram for some people, and MRI! Some doctors may try to use hormones to help with adenomyosis, and some may use medicines such as Lupron. Some doctors can use ultrasound and perform a surgery in which they remove the upper lining of the uterus and reconstruct the uterus. This is not an option for women hoping to retain their fertility. In some cases, a hysterectomy is the best option. This is a decision that you have to make with the advice of your doctor and maybe a second opinion.
