Some information about uterine prolapse options:
Mild degrees of prolapse require no medical intervention. Kegals may help improve the pelvic floor muscles easing some of the discomfort. Trying to avoid heavy lifting and straining is also important. Avoid getting constipated by using stool softeners and drinking lots os water. Interventin may require the use of pessary to hold the pelvic organs up.
Surgery intervention is an option only when all other methods have failed. Procedures to correct the position of the uterus through support of the ligaments is fairly common. A larger scale surgery is pelvic floor reconstruction that basically reconstructs all the pelvic organs and supports them.
Each woman must be in charge of her medical care. If you do not desire a hysterectomy for uterine prolapse find a surgeon who is experienced in other methods to treat the prolapse.
