/ We are home. They do not want to do surgery at this point becuase the area is only 1.5 cm in very deep in liver. To go in and get it would invlove removing 1/2 his liver. So...... we will go back in a month, then 3 then 6 then a year and get ultrasound each time. If it gorws or does something odd we try a needle biopsy or go and get it, if not we just watch it. They say the likleyhood it is cancer being so small and him so healthy is very low. I guess that makes me feel better. I am still kinda frustrated but would rather not have him lose half his liver right now. Julie aka bensmommy

((((Julie)))) Thanx for the update. I can't imagine what you must be going thru - the not knowing must be tough. Will be keeping Ben in my prayers.

Glad that you'll are home. We will have faith that is will stay small and under control! It is so hard to have something wrong with your child.....I learned this when my ds was born premature and we really didn't know if he would make it and again a few months ago when they feared he had leukemia. They are just too little to have to be sick. My thoughts are with you. Jana

Haven't heard anything more about it - chatted with Julie briefly a couple weeks ago and she didn't mention anything - if I'm chatting with her I'll be sure to ask!
